Overview

Connect Slack so Dume can post messages to a channel on your behalf and look up channels and workspace members.
This integration is newer than the others and still expanding. Reading and summarizing existing message history isn’t part of it yet, only posting and directory lookups. If a request needs Dume to read past Slack messages, it may not work today.

1. Connect (OAuth)

1

Open Integrations

Go to Integrations.
2

Authenticate

Click Connect Integration on the Slack card and authorize your workspace.
3

Test

Ask: “What Slack channels am I in?”
Revoke anytime from Slack’s own Apps and integrations settings, or disconnect from Dume’s Integrations page.

2. What it can do today

  • List channels you’re a member of
  • Look up workspace members
  • Post a message to a channel

3. Quick commands

4. Troubleshooting

5. Security

  • OAuth tokens only, no passwords stored
  • Scoped to the workspace you authorize
  • Revocable anytime
  • Posting a message asks for confirmation first
Slack is a data integration, not a messaging channel. To reach Dume from outside the app, use WhatsApp or phone instead.
