# Profile and Security

> Manage your name, timezone, and communication preferences under Profile, and your password and login under Security.

Settings has separate **Profile** and **Security** tabs.

## Profile

Covers your identity (name, email, username, timezone, location), goals and context (occupation, bio), agent preferences (communication style, measurement system, emoji use, custom instructions), and system preferences (language, default AI model). See [Personalize Dume](/getting-started/personalisation) for how these actually change Dume's responses.

## Security

Change your password here if you signed up with email rather than an OAuth provider. It also lists your active sessions and the devices you're logged in on, with the option to log out any one you don't recognize.
